Featured - Resin Jewellery

I am a huge fan of resin jewellery. The colours and the shinyness - it all looks so tempting! I first really took notice when I went to the Jackie Brazil shop in Paris - it's just an explosion of colour!

On Etsy there are a number of people using resin and in really clever and interesting way. Something I am lusting after at the moment is this necklace by Sisicata, a Polish designer. It is made with amber that is embeded in the resin.


A bit closer to home is PennyDogAccessories who is based in Leicestershire - like me. I've seen her jewellery in the real and its fab! Really fun - in particular these ones with fruit.


Also from the UK is QuercusSilver, her rings are my fave - mixing the silver with the fab colours really makes them pop.


Finally, this funky bangle from ChelleV2. I love all the bubbles.


Now the decision is which to put on my Christmas list. I can't decide! There are many more who I wanted to feature as well - there are so many talented resin artists on Etsy!

Packaging - what do you think?!

I haven't come to a decision on how to package my jewellery yet. I'm still trying out different options. This is my latest attempt which I am pretty happy with as the little pouch is also handmade by me! It's quite simple but it works! I have quite a lot of these pouches in different colours and sizes as I make them with left over bits of material. Now I just need to find some more pretty ribbon to add the finishing touch!

This went off to my first customer on Folksy. Folksy is similar to Etsy but UK based with prices in Pounds. I haven't filled up my shop with all items yet, so it's still a work in progress.

Right, I'm off to look for some bright and colourful ribbon!

Thought I would show you some of the items I have been working on this week. I seem to have rather a colour theme going on at the mo! I have already listed the earrings on etsy - the rest should be on there soon - so keep checking back!

I want these!!

I spotted these handmade beads on the Sweet Figments blog. They are made by Diana from Barcelona whose shop dicopebisuteria is on Etsy. It looks like they would be really time consuming to make, but well worth it. I reckon they would make a fab necklace! Perhaps I'll treat myself!
