This pic shows my beads and the ones that Sally made as she was demonstrating. I made 6 or 7 although I did manage to explode one on the day! Oops! I am pretty pleased with them although they are not quite totally round; I guess that comes with practice! My favourites of the ones I made are the turquoise and black one on the right and the white and swirly purple at the back on the left.
I’m dying to give it another go now. If you get the opportunity to try lampwork bead making then go for it – although, like I said – it’s rather addictive, you have been warned!

Bead Making - I'm Addicted
One of my Christmas presents was a bead making class with RedhotSal, Sally Carver. Last week I went along to give it a go and absolutely loved it! I now really want to take it up properly – another hobby! Sally was great and really informative about all the bits and bobs you need to get started and showed be a few of the techniques. I found it all fascinating – I just love the glass and all the possibilities. I feel this could be addictive! One problem is that I live in a flat at the mo and I really need a shed – mmm... where to put it?? On the balcony? Could be a squeeze!

The purple one looks like a sweetie! I love the turquoise ones too! Sounds like great fun but i think i would get addicted too!
They look absolutely wonderful!
It looks like a really satisfying thing to do as well, I really should get my act together and start creating myself! x
