Petrolheads Unite!

The most exciting weekend of the year is nearly upon us. Yes, the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the year – yay! My weekends basically revolve around the Grand Prix and I haven’t missed one for 12 years. Some might say this possibly one of the most ridiculous things they have ever heard and they could be partly right, but hey it’s my life!

This time last year I was in Melbourne for the Grand Prix – sadly not so this year. Although the 40 degree heat and the blazing sun was even more challenging than the rain and traffic at Silverstone!

Enough of this. In honour of fast cars I have found some items on Etsy suitable for those petrol heads out there!

This original watercolour by Robert Joyner really gives a feeling of action, find it at artman757.

Cute apron by thecupcakegoddess (good name!).

Vitamini has some great mini themed items.

Lastly, this reclaimed tile with a hand drawn car - unusual art by mimidoodles!

Moo Cards

I have had my Moo business cards for about a month now and I think they are fab! Really like the quality and the fact you can have a variety of different pics on the back. I have the mini ones but next time I might go the whole hog and have the full size.

World Book Day

Fascinating fact - today is World Book Day. What that means or entails I am not sure but hey, why not? I'm a big reader - my favourite type of book are those set in dystopian worlds, like The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwod and Blindness by Jose Saramago. Although the last book I read was The Reader by Bernhard Schlink (I haven't seen the film, by the way).

Anyway, I thought I would search out some interesting book related items on Etsy!

Clockwise from top left:

Bangle with Pride and Prejudice text is by Brookish.
Reading is a Hoot, owl collage print by MoxieDoll.
The screen printed portrait on text is by Pamglew
The gorgeous screen printed ceramic bowl is by Pinkkiss.
Conch Book Sculpure is one of Paperfaerie.
Pretty rosette brooch by lostintheforest.

Can you tell I have just downloaded Picasa - oh what fun I am going to have with these collages!
